Toyota News Includes Sales Halt of Selected 2010 Models

The latest Toyota news includes the recall and sales halt of selected 2009-2010 models, including the RAV4, Corolla, Matrix, Avalon, Camry (selected models), Highlander, Tundra, and Sequoia. No Lexus or Scion models have been recalled, as they are all built in Japan. At issue are accelerator pedal mechanisms that could get stuck in the open position due to wear, causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably. Earlier this month, Toyota announced a recall of 2.3 million vehicles with the possible defect. [via Autoblog ]
